The affordable Samsung Galaxy Music DUOS has just landed in India. The smartphone is available from major retailers across the country and offers the so much praised dual-SIM capability.

AndroidOS reports the Galaxy Music DUOS can now be purchased via Snapdeal for only Rs 8,999 outright, which is about $165 or €125.

It is also worth mentioning that the device is also up for sale on Samsung’s online store, though customers will have to pay a bit more for the Galaxy Music DUOS as the handset maker priced it at Rs 9,199 ($170/€130).

The budget-friendly Galaxy Music DUOS might be one of the best choices for those looking for high-quality dual-SIM smartphones.

Although the handset comes with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Music DUOS will receive a Jelly Bean upgrade at some point. There are no additional details on this one, but we expect the update to land next year.

Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy Music DUOS sports a 3.0-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 240 x 320 pixels resolution and 262k colors.

It also packs a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with touch focus and video recording. Sadly, the device lacks a secondary camera for video calls.

On the inside, the Galaxy Music DUOS embeds a single-core processor clocked at 850 MHz, which is complemented by 512MB of RAM.

The phone comes with only 4GB of internal memory, but users can further expand it up to 32GB via microSD memory card. Keep in mind that actual storage space is lower than 4GB.

Samsung Galaxy Music DUOS drains energy from a 1300 mAh Li-Ion battery, which should provide up to 570 hours of standby time (370 hours in 3G mode) or up to 15 hours of talk time (6 hours in 3G mode).
