One of the latest Android-based smartphones that went on sale on the airwaves of Three UK is the Samsung Galaxy Mini, a mid-range device that can bring a lot of appealing features in the hands of budget-conscious users.

At Three UK, the new mobile phone was made available for purchase both on monthly plans, as well as for the carrier's Pay As You Go users.

The new Samsung Galaxy Mini handset comes to the market with a 3.14” capacitive touchscreen display on the front, and with a 3-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

Sylvia Chind, Head of Branded Devices, said, “The Samsung Galaxy Mini is a great compact phone that punches well above its size. This entry level handset doesn’t compromise on features and supports a great mobile internet experience over our fast 3G network.”

The smartphone runs under Google's Android 2.2.1(Froyo) mobile operating system, and offers support for downloading and installing applications through the Android Market.

Moreover, Samsung Galaxy Mini would also include all of the usual connectivity capabilities smartphones sport, as well as the usual sensors.

The handset's features and specs list shows:

At Three UK, the smartphone can be purchased for free on monthly contracts that start at £15 a month, as well as on the carrier's The One Plan with All-You-Can-Eat Data, 2000 anytime, any network minutes, 5000 texts, for £25 a month.

If purchased on a Pay As You Go basis, the Samsung Galaxy Mini costs £99. It can be combined with the wireless carrier's All in One 15 option, which packs 30-day access to all-you-can-eat data along with 300 any-network minutes and 3,000 texts for only £15.

Moreover, Three UK notes that PAYG users can opt for purchasing the smartphone with the All in One 25 plan, which would offer 500 minutes, 3,000 texts and all-you-can-eat data for a 30-day period for £25.
