On Monday, wireless carrier Three UK added to its offering two of Samsung’s latest Android-based devices, including the Galaxy Mega 6.3 handset, in addition to the previously reported on Galaxy S4 mini.

The new device is available on the operator’s Ultrafast network with all-you-can-eat data both on pay-monthly and on Pay As You Go plans, with a price tag starting at £0 on £33 ($50 / €38.48) or higher monthly plans.

Users interested in grabbing the mobile phone on a PAYG basis will have to pay £449.99 ($684 / €525) for it when making the purchase either through the carrier’s website or via its retail locations.

“The device is also available on Three's new market leading Pay As You Go rates of 3p a minute, 2p a text and 1p a MB of internet for £449.99. For even better value and all-you-can-eat data add ons are also available,” the wireless carrier notes.

“All in One 15 costs £15 and gives 30-day access to all-you-can-eat data along with 300 any-network minutes and 3,000 texts. Or All in One 25 costs £25 and offers 500 minutes, 3,000 texts and all-you-can-eat data for a 30-day period.”

As mentioned above, the smartphone should deliver fast connectivity capabilities on the carrier’s DC-HSDPA-based network, which covers more than 80 percent of the UK population at the moment. The network is set to be upgraded to 4G LTE later this year.

"You can carry the Samsung Galaxy Mega like a phone, but use it as a tablet, thanks to the huge 6.3" screen which even has split screen capabilities. It is the perfect device for gaming or streaming YouTube 'fail' videos on Three's Ultrafast network, wherever you are," Sylvia Chind, head of Devices at Three, said.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 arrives on shelves with a 1.7GHz dual-core processor inside, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

On the back, it sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper, paired with a front camera for video calling, while its 6.3-inch screen can deliver a 720p resolution. Samsung loaded Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on this device right from the start.
