One of the handsets that South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is expected to make official in the not too distant future is the Galaxy Mega 2, which allegedly sports a 5.9-inch touchscreen display, and which has just made an appearance at the FCC.

The handset was spotted at the feds with model number SM-G750A attached to it, which is said to be a variation of Samsung SM-G7508, previously rumored to be the aforementioned Galaxy Mega 2.

The SM-G750A mobile phone was spotted for the first time back in March, when it was said to be the Galaxy S5 mini, as Phone Arena notes. However, the new FCC listing has revealed that it will land on shelves with a 164.4 x 85 mm body, which makes it larger than last year’s Galaxy Mega 5.8.

The FCC listing confirms that the mobile phone arrives on shelves with LTE, NFC, and Wi-Fi connectivity capabilities, but does not offer info on its other hardware specs.

However, previous rumors on the Galaxy Mega 2 have already revealed that it would land on shelves with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 2GB of RAM, and that it would also feature a 12MP rear camera, along with a 5MP front-facing one.

According to a User Agent Profile spotted on Samsung’s website, the handset will come to the market with a touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720p resolution, while running under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.

No info on when the mobile phone might arrive has been provided as of now, but it might not be too long before that happens, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
