South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has been long rumored to plan the release of a successor for its Galaxy S4 Zoom handset that landed on shelves last year, and leaked photos that allegedly show the new device are now available online.

Said photos made it online courtesy of Tieba and provide us with a glimpse of what the aforementioned handset, supposedly set to hit shelves as Galaxy K or Galaxy S5 Zoom, will look like.

Despite the fact that it will sport a large camera on the back, the phone appears to feature a slim, compact form factor. The same as its predecessor, the new device should be able to provide users with 10x optical zoom.

The specs list of the yet unannounced mobile phone includes a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display capable of delivering a 720p resolution, as well as a hexa-core Samsung Exynos 5260 processor.

Moreover, the new handset should land on the market with 2GB of RAM packed inside, and with Google’s Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system loaded on top, as PhoneArena notes.

The main selling point of the new mobile phone, however, should be its 20-megapixel camera on the back, which features Xenon flash, and which is paired with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling.

Samsung has yet to officially confirm details on the new device, though it seems that it might not be too long before that happens, as Galaxy K is expected to go official on April 29. Stay tuned for more on this.
