Word that Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 mid-range smartphones popped up for the first time in early April.

Then the smartphones received Bluetooth certification about two weeks later, thus confirming once again that Samsung is going to make them available soon.

Today, we get a sneak peek at both smartphones, which recently appeared at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission. They look exactly like two Samsung mid-range smartphones, so there's nothing really great about their design.

Still, their appearance at TENAA is another indication that Samsung might announce the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 pretty soon.

Although the smartphones in the pictures are branded with China Mobile's logo, we expect both devices to be available in more countries.

For those unaware of Samsung's unannounced Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 smartphones, here is a quick recap. First of all, they will both ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

The confirmed specs point to mid-range tier

Samsung Galaxy J7 will sport a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution, while the Galaxy J5 has a smaller 5-inch HD (720p) screen.

Both have 8-megapixel cameras on the back with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, as well as secondary 5-megapixel cameras in the front.

On the inside, Galaxy J7 is equipped with a 1.4GHz octa-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, whereas the Galaxy J5 comes with the same hardware but a slightly lower 1.2GHz octa-core processor.

It's also worth mentioning that both Galaxy J smartphones come with LTE support and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB).

There are no details on pricing and availability, but we expect Samsung to officially introduce both Galaxy J smartphones in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
