South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is getting ready for the international launch of yet another smartphone in the popular Galaxy series, namely the Samsung Galaxy J, which should land in Taiwan soon.

While no details on the handset’s arrival in this market have been provided as of now, the smartphone has already received the necessary approvals in the country, and it might be released shortly.

Samsung Galaxy J was launched in Japan not long ago with a 5-inch touchscreen display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, and 3GB of RAM.

As UnwiredView notes, the phone was expected at the time to remain exclusive to the Japanese market, but it appears that Samsung is determined to launch it in more countries worldwide.

The first to receive it might be Taiwan, as Samsung has had a smartphone featuring model number SGH-N075T approved for use there, Blog of Mobile reports. In Japan, Galaxy J was released as model SGH-N075, which suggests that a new variant of the phone is indeed nearing its availability.

What remains to be seen is what other markets might receive the device should Samsung indeed plan a worldwide rollout.

For those who might have missed our previous reports on Galaxy J, we should note that the phone arrived in Japan with a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor inside, as well as with a 5-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED touchscreen.

Furthermore, it was packed with a 13-megapixel camera on the back, with support for full HD video recording, as well as with a front camera for making video calls.

The phone also features 32 GB of internal storage, complemented by a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, a 2600 mAh battery, and Google’s Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system.

Most probably, Samsung will not make changes to its hardware specs when launching it internationally, though confirmation on this has yet to emerge. Keep an eye on this space for more info on the matter.
