Good news for Samsung fans, as the company plans to launch a new premium Android smartphone this week. We have already reported that the Galaxy J will be released in Taiwan on December 9 and now the first teaser of the premium device made it to YouTube.

Also dubbed Samsung SC-02F, the Galaxy J seems to be a prequel to the upcoming Galaxy S5, which is believed to be released in two variants, standard and premium.

The short video shows that the Galaxy J will pack support for Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch, which suggests that it will ship with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system right out of the box.

Aside from that, we also know that the smartphone is equipped with a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.26 GHz, 3GB of RAM and Adreno 330 graphics processing unit.

Keep in mind though that these features are taken from the Japanese version of Galaxy J, so there's no telling whether the Taiwanese variant will have the same hardware configuration.

It is also worth mentioning that Samsung Galaxy J boasts a stunning 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. It also packs 32GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD memory card.

Last but not least, the device is said to feature a 13.2-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as secondary front-facing camera for video calls.

The smartphone teased has been confirmed to be the SC-02F, as shown in the video, but the December 9 release is just a speculation.

The Galaxy Gear smartwatch shown in the teaser trailer has the December 9 date stamped on its display, which is why we believe that the Samsung Galaxy J will arrive in Taiwan on the same date. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
