Starting with the next week, mobile phone users in India should be able to purchase a new handset from Samsung, none other than the Galaxy Grand Neo, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

The handset has been spotted online a few weeks ago, and is now expected to hit shelves in India next week at Rs. 18,190 ($294/€214), though its recommended retail price might be higher, at Rs. 19,010 ($307/€224), as AndroidOS notes.

The info comes from Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom, though an official announcement from Samsung is expected to be made only on February 18, at the Samsung Forum 2014, held in Bali.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo emerged in the Netherlands last month, with a 5.01-inch WVGA display, and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor.

The handset also sports 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a 2100mAh battery, and a 5-megapixel camera. It runs under Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
