14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung has already released several Galaxy Grand variations, so the launch of Galaxy Grand Neo Plus should not come as a surprise at all.
Just like many other previous models, the Galaxy Grand Neo Plus has been initially released in India, where Samsung hopes to make it popular among Android fans.
The main strong point of the smartphone is the low price, which is something rare for a major brand like Samsung. However, competition on Indian smartphone market is pretty tough, so desperate times ask for desperate measures.
Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus is an entry-level Android smartphone that's now available for purchase for only Rs 9,990 outright, which is about $157 or €143.
Customers can get the handset via Samsung India's webstore in three different colors: Black, Gold and White.
A budget-friendly smartphone with decent specs
Moving on to specs, the Galaxy Grand Neo Plus is far from being impressive, but for the price you pay, it offers quite decent features.
For example, the smartphone sports a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixel resolution. According to Samsung, the device has better viewing experience with 28% brighter screen.
Hardware-wise, Samsung has included a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory. In addition, the handset packs a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
There's also a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features LED flash, autofocus and full HD video recording, while on the front there's a secondary 2-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus offers Smart dual-SIM support, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0, GPS with AGPS, and 3.5mm audio jack.
The only downside would be the fact that it ships with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box, and there's little to no chance to get a Lollipop upgrade in the future.
