Galaxy Note 3 Neo is not the only smartphone that Samsung made official in India today at the Samsung Forum 2014 in Bali, as the Galaxy Grand Neo was also formally introduced in the country.

The phone has already started to arrive at retailers in this market, yet Samsung officially confirmed its availability only today.

The company unveiled the phone with a price tag of Rs. 18,450 ($297/€217) attached to it, but users can already find it at lower price tags through various retailers in India.

The mobile phone is aimed at the upper entry-level segment of the market, though it should still be able to provide users with pretty decent performance capabilities.

The handset was spotted online a few weeks back, featuring a 5-inch touchscreen display that can deliver only an 800 x 480 pixels resolution.

However, Samsung did pack it with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor inside, as well as with 1GB of RAM. The phone was launched in India in 8GB and 16GB flavors, with a microSD memory card slot packed inside, capable of supporting up to 64GB of external storage.

Galaxy Grand Neo also features dual-SIM with dual-standby capabilities, as well as support for 3G HSPA+ networks. Its specs list also shows Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth capabilities, along with a built-in GPS receiver and a 2100mAh battery.

On the back, the mobile phone sports a 5-megapixel camera, with auto focus and LED flash, complemented by a VGA camera on the front, so as to allow users to make video calls while on the go.

Samsung launched Galaxy Grand Neo in India with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean loaded on top, and it unveiled that users would be able to choose from White, Midnight Black, Orange, and Lime Green color versions for the device, as fonearena notes.

Moreover, those who purchase the handset through Vodafone will receive 1GB of free data per month for two months, provided that they buy the Grand Neo before May 31 this year.
