Good news for those anxiously waiting for a “lighter” version of Samsung’s Galaxy Grand, as the smartphone has just been spotted in China.

Blog of Mobile reports that the Galaxy Grand Neo, codenamed GT-I9168, is likely to receive TENAA’s approval and will probably be officially revealed in the coming weeks.

Previously known as Samsung Galaxy Grand Lite, the device is said to boast a large 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

In addition, rumors claim that Galaxy Grand Neo comes equipped with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory,

On the back, the smartphone will pack a 5-megapixel photo snapper, while in the front it will feature a secondary VGA camera. The bad news is that there’s a high chance that Galaxy Grand Neo will ship with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box.
