Samsung introduced the Galaxy Grand 2 in India earlier this week and confirmed that the smartphone would be available for purchase beginning early 2014.

However, a few Indian retailers have already opened up pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2, so customers who wish to secure their units can do so if they pay a certain amount.

IBNLive reports that Snapdeal retailer is now taking pre-orders for Galaxy Grand 2, but customers have to pay a Rs 999 ($16 / € 12) pre-booking fee.

According to Snapdeal’s webstore, there are already more than 5,000 pre-orders placed for Samsung Galaxy Grand 2, but more are expected to pile up until the smartphone goes on sale.

Unfortunately, Samsung did not reveal the official price tag of the Galaxy Grand 2, though word is that the smartphone will be available for around Rs 24,000 ($385 / €280) outright. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
