It will be available at Vodafone beginning October 23

Samsung has just announced that it will launch an improved version of its Galaxy Express Android smartphone in the UK.

The South Korean company has confirmed that it will bring the 4G LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy Express 2 to the UK. The smartphone will be available through Vodafone’s brick and mortar stores beginning October 23.

Pocket-lint reports that the ceramic white version of the phone will be exclusively available at Vodafone, while other authorized retailers will receive it later on.

It is also worth mentioning that Vodafone will also offer an exclusive Rigel Blue version of Galaxy Express 2.

No word on pricing options yet, but we can expect Vodafone to offer the Galaxy Express 2 for free on select plans.

Specs-wise, the smartphone ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and packs lots of Samsung’s proprietary apps and services, including Motion UX, S Travel, Smart Stay, Group Play and S Translator.

On the inside, the Galaxy Express 2 comes equipped with a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD memory card.

Samsung Galaxy Express 2 also sports a larger 4.5-inch qHD PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution, as well as a decent 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash.

A secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls is included as well, along with a 2100 mAh Li-Ion battery, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC (Near Field Communication) and Wi-Fi connectivity.
