South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is working on expanding its entry- and mid-level family of devices, and it has just announced the availability of a new such handset, in the form of Samsung Galaxy Core Mini 4G.

The new smartphone has been made official in China, and has been confirmed only for this market as of now, though chances are that the company will release it in other countries as well in the not-too-distant future, even if no specific details on the matter have been provided as of now.

As you’d expect from an entry-level smartphone, the new Samsung Galaxy Core Mini 4G comes with low-end hardware specs packed inside, though it will certainly be capable of offering pretty decent performance capabilities to all those who will purchase it.

The new Samsung handset was made official with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution, as well as with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor inside.

Moreover, the new device sports 1.5GB of RAM, complemented by 8GB of internal memory. A microSD memory card slot was added to the new mobile phone as well, with support for up to 64GB of external storage.

On the back, the handset sports a 5-megapixel camera which might be able to record videos in 720p resolution. No front camera for making video calls appears to have been included on this device.

However, Samsung Galaxy Core Mini 4G was made official with Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n 2.4GHz connectivity inside, as well as with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Direct Connect, microUSB port, and a built-in GPS receiver for navigation purposes.

At the same time, as the phone’s name suggests, 4G (TD LTE) connectivity will also be added to the smartphone. 3G TD-SCDMA was also packed inside it.

Moreover, the handset comes to the market with dual-SIM capabilities with dual-standby, as well as with a 3.5mm Stereo headphone jack, and with Google’s Android operating system loaded on top (however, no info on the actual OS version has been unveiled as of now).

The new mobile phone, which sports model number Samsung G3568V, will become available for purchase in China on the network of wireless carrier China Mobile, and will be compatible with the company’s new TD-LTE 4G infrastructure.
