The smartphone offers Samsung's innovative Smart Dual SIM feature

Today, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung officially announced the availability of its Samsung Galaxy Core smartphone in India, with a price tag of Rs 15,690 ($263 / €200) attached to it.

The new device arrives on shelves with appealing performance capabilities, as well as with dual-SIM functionality and Smart Services.

The new mobile phone is available with a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor inside, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Furthermore, it packs a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, as well as a 5MP camera on the back with a unique Best Shot feature (it recommends the best photos per 8 continuous shots), and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean loaded on top. It is powered by a 1800mAh battery.

“Galaxy Core is designed especially to provide a power packed experience to the users by combining dual core processing power, compact design, and Dual SIM technology all into one device,” Mr. Vineet Taneja, Country Head, Samsung Mobile, says.

“The device is also loaded with various smart features that provide the users with advanced tools that continue to set the GALAXY series apart," he adds. Samsung also packed the Galaxy Core with applications and services such as ChatOn, Games Hub, and access to Cloud Service and to the Samsung Apps Store.

The new mobile phone also hits shelves with Samsung’s innovative Smart Dual SIM feature, which is meant to provide users with all the benefits that having two SIM cards inside the same smartphone can deliver.

“This enables the users to balance their personal and professional life with ease, while at the same time having a choice of economical payment plans and enjoying expanded coverage, especially when traveling,” Samsung says.

“It also enables the user to browse internet from one SIM while having the using the other number for incoming phone calls. The automatic call forwarding feature ensures that the users never miss any call,” Samsung further adds.
