Samsung Galaxy Alpha, the smartphone that South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has been long rumored to plan on bringing to the market with a metallic design, might be powered by an Exynos 5433 octa-core processor, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

The handset has appeared in AnTuTu, and the guys over at AllAboutSamsung have managed to get a glimpse of it there, confirming not only the processor, but also that it will include a Mali-T628 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

The handset is also said to arrive on shelves with a 12-megapixel camera on the back, with LED flash, as well as with a 2MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

Moreover, the smartphone should feature a 4.8-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720p resolution, as well as 32GB of internal memory. However, no microSD memory card slot will be included.

As SamMobile notes, the upcoming device will land on shelves with both mid-range and high-end capabilities, which will place it above the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini, but below the Galaxy S5.

Featuring model number SM-G850F, the handset is now said to become official on August 13, although it was rumored only a few days ago to arrive on August 4. Stay tuned for more on this.
