Soon after Samsung officially announced the upcoming availability of its Samsung Galaxy Alpha handset, retailers and wireless carriers have started to confirm the phone’s landing on their offerings, with Carphone Warehouse and Three UK planning on bringing it to the country soon.

According to a recent tweet from Three, the smartphone will be coming to its network, yet specific details on when that should happen will be revealed at a later date.

Most probably, the phone will become available for purchase only next month, just as Samsung confirmed when revealing the device.

Carphone Warehopuse is already providing users with the possibility of registering their interest in the smartphone via its website, though it hasn’t revealed specific info on availability and pricing as of now.

“The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has just been announced. With its stunning metal design and super thin body, this is Samsung's best looking phone ever. To find out more about this brand new smartphone, register your details now,” the retailer notes.

According to online retailer Clove UK, Samsung Galaxy Alpha should cost around £499.99 ($841/€629) at launch, which is a bit more than what Samsung Netherlands confirmed for it, namely €599 ($799/£477).

Details on when the phone will be put up for sale haven’t emerged as of now, but Clove suggests that the device will be released in September, just as mentioned above.

The new Galaxy Alpha is the thinnest Android-based smartphone from Samsung, measuring only 6.7mm. It weighs only 115 grams, despite the fact that it arrives on shelves with a metal frame on its side.

Just as previous rumors suggested, the Galaxy Alpha sports a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display that can deliver an HD resolution, and is powered by an Exynos 5 Octa processor (1.8GHz quad + 1.3GHz quad).

Moreover, the new mobile phone features 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, though it does not feature a microSD memory card slot, it seems. However, it does sport a nano SIM card slot.

On the back, Galaxy Alpha packs a 12-megapixel camera, which is complemented by a 2.1MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

The smartphone is powered by an 1860mAh battery and features LTE Cat. 6 connectivity capabilities. Moreover, it was made official with the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system loaded on top right from the start.

Starting next month, the phone will arrive on shelves in 150 countries around the world in five color flavors, including black, white, gold, silver and blue.
