Although Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus has been delayed in the UK, it appears that the handset maker decided to introduce the smartphone in India. The phone has been available for pre-order since last week, but starting today customers can purchase the Galaxy Ace Plus.

The folks at AndroidOS report that Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus is now available for purchase via Flipkart for Rs 16,275 (325 USD or 250 EUR) outright.

It’s interesting that while the UK release has been postponed, Indian users are getting the Galaxy Ace Plus even earlier than expected.

Initially, Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus was slated for a March 21 release, but for unknown reasons the company decided to make the smartphone available in the country earlier than it was originally predicted.

Even though the Galaxy Ace Plus is powered by Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, it’s still an interesting mid-range smartphone.

Samsung is still evaluating the possibility of deploying the Ice Cream Sandwich to Galaxy Ace Plus, so users can only hope that the handset maker’s decision will be positive.

Design-wise, the handset sports a trendy look with a sleek finish. The smartphone looks solid enough, even if the back cover is made up of shiny plastic.

Furthermore, the Galaxy Ace Plus is equipped with a 1 GHz single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor and packs 3 GB onboard memory, 512MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

On the back, the smartphone sports a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording. There’s no secondary camera included.

The Galaxy Ace Plus features a 3.65-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

The phone’s 1300 mAh Li-Ion battery is rated by the manufacturer for up to 11 hours of talk time (7 hours in 3G mode) or up to 660 hours of standby time (420 hours in 3G mode).
