Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 arrived in Australia last week when major retailer Dick Smith announced that it had started to offer the smartphone for $300 (€200) off contract.

However, it looks like Vodafone Australia has added the Galaxy Ace 3 to its portfolio as well. Customers can now purchase the smartphone for only $250 (€165) on prepaid, AusDroid reports.

“We know our prepaid customers love to keep control of their costs and still be able to take advantage of a super fast network and an advanced smartphone. Our superfast 4G network is even more enjoyable with the easy-to-play GALAXY Ace 3,” said Katie Turkal, general manager of devices at Vodafone.

Keep in mind that this is the improved version of the Galaxy Ace 3, which was also launched in Canada and other markets with LTE network coverage.

First and foremost, Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 comes with LTE support, so users shouldn’t be worried that they might get low data speed while browsing the Internet.

In addition, the smartphone is equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8930 Snapdragon 400 processor, unlike the standard version that packs a dual-core Broadcom BCM21664 CPU clocked at 1GHz.

The Galaxy Ace 3 sports a decent 4.0-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and 16M colors. It also packs a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording, as well as a secondary VGA camera for video calls.

The handset embeds 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD memory card.

Last but not least, the LTE-enabled Galaxy Ace 3 drains energy from an 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery, whereas the standard version only packs a 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery.

Software-wise, the Galaxy Ace 3 ships with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but there are rumors that Samsung might push Android 4.4 KitKat for some mid-range handsets, including this one.
