Samsung Galaxy ACE Style was spotted in Germany several days ago and we thought that the South Korean company would quietly introduce the Android smartphone in several more countries without making any official announcements.

It appears that we were wrong, as Samsung has just announced the upcoming availability of the Galaxy ACE Style. Samsung has confirmed that the smartphone will be available globally in Cream White and Dark Gray beginning this month.

Although Samsung did not reveal the phone’s retail price tag, last week we reported that Galaxy ACE Style was available in Germany for prices between $275 and $415 (€200 to €300) outright.

According to the handset maker, Samsung Galaxy ACE Style “features a fun, unique design with an enhanced camera and advanced features for superior performance.”

In truth, this is just another budget-friendly Android smartphone that strongly resembles the rest of the devices in the Ace lineup.

The only strong point of the Galaxy ACE Style seems to be the fact that it ships with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box. On top of it, the smartphone runs Samsung’s TouchWiz Essence UI.

On the inside, the device is far from being impressive, but that wasn’t intended anyway, given the low price. However, in some regions, the Galaxy ACE Style will compete with native OEMs, which usually launch slightly better featured handsets at much lower prices.

Anyway, Samsung Galaxy ACE Style is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, which is complemented by 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory.

As you can see, these are the main traits of an entry-level smartphone, which is why we believe that the price should be lower than €200 ($275) off contract.

The 512MB of RAM will be enough to run Android 4.4 KitKat without any issues, but lots of games and apps now require at least 1GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the handset packs a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and video recording, but no LED flash, which is another downside of the Galaxy ACE Style. A secondary VGA camera is included in the front as well.

Samsung also mentions that the phone’s camera comes with “the One Camera Preview feature,” which is said to provide easy access for both video recording and picture taking in full HD.

Last but not least, Samsung Galaxy ACE Style sports a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution, as well as multiple connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC (Near Field Communications).
