One of the most interesting slates announced by Samsung this year, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE has just been launched in South Korea.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE is one of the few tablets to feature voice call support, and the first LTE-enabled slate manufactured by Samsung to come with an AMOLED display.

As the name suggests, the tablet sports a 7.7-inch WVGA Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen display that supports 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

According to the guys over at SammyHub, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE will soon be available in South Korea via SK Telecom carrier. Customers will be able to purchase the silver color Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE for 800, 000 won (715 USD or 545 EUR).

The only drawback of the slate seems to be the fact that is shipped with Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system instead of the latest Ice Cream Sandwich platform.

However, due to the slate’s hardware configuration, there’s a high chance that Samsung will deploy an Android 4.0 upgrade by the end of the year. It also comes pre-loaded with Samsung’s Learning Hub, Readers Hub and Social Hub.

According to the latest specs sheet released by Samsung, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE should be equipped with a 1.4 GHz dual-core Exynos processor.

In addition, it packs 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The tablet comes with dual-cameras, a 3-megapixel rear photo snapper and a secondary 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. Samsung Galaxy Tan 7.7 LTE drains battery from a 5100 mAh Li-Ion battery that has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.

It appears that South Korea will be the first country to get the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, but Samsung is likely to expand the availability of the slate in other regions as well.
