Samsung started to deliver the hotly anticipated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for Galaxy Tab 7.7 about a week ago, and today the South Korean company announced the availability of the upgrade for Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus.

According to the folks over at Sammobile, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus owners in Austria are now eligible for this upgrade. The update is pushed OTA (over the air), but users can also update their tablets via Samsung Kies desktop software.

Although the Android 4.0.4 ICS update for Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is only available for Open Austria, word is that additional countries will get the upgrade within the next few weeks.

The following tablets are also expected to receive this Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in the following months: GT-P6210 Galaxy Tab Plus 7.0 WIFI, GT-P6200 Galaxy Tab Plus 7.0 WIFI + 3G, GT-P6810 Galaxy Tab 7.7 WIFI, GT-P6800 Galaxy Tab 7.7 WIFI + 3G, GT-P7310 Galaxy Tab 8.9 WIFI, GT-P7300 Galaxy Tab 8.9 WIFI + 3G, GT-P7510 Galaxy Tab 10.1 WIFI and GT-P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1 WIFI + 3G.

Unfortunately, there are many Galaxy Tab owners disappointed by the fact that their tablets have yet to receive the promised Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. Still, rumor has it that Samsung will launch most updates for these Galaxy Tab tablets in August.

Those who own one of the tablets listed above will have to wait a bit longer for their Ice Cream Sandwich updates. However, we can safely assume that all Galaxy Tab owners will get their upgrades by the end of August.

It is also worth mentioning that Samsung is usually launching the Android 4.0 ICS for these Galaxy Tab models in Europe, but the update is set to be released in stages in all regions. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
