Samsung launched the budget-friendly Galaxy S III mini (GT-I8190) back in November 2012 and it looks like the South Korean company is now considering releasing a similar device almost 2 years later.

SamMobile reports Samsung is currently working to brings another affordable Android smartphone on the market, name the Galaxy S III VE (Value Edition).

Judging by its codename (GT-I8200), this seems to be a small upgrade over the old Galaxy S III mini that's been released so many months ago.

The folks over at Phonearena have already investigated the upcoming smartphone at Bluetooth SIG and FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and it looks like the device has already received approval from both regulatory commissions.

Unfortunately, there are no details on the Galaxy S III mini VE's specs yet, but we suspect more info will emerge in the following weeks so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
