With only one day until its official launch, details on the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini start to surface.

The smartphone has been recently confirmed for an October 11 release in Germany, though Samsung’s CEO JK Shin was reluctant to offer any details on the Galaxy S III Mini specs sheet.

Well, this is no problem anymore as Germany site MobileGeeks managed to get their hands on the first press photo of the Galaxy S III Mini. But that’s not all, as the quoted site also unveiled the phone’s specs sheet, as well as its price tag in Germany.

First of all, Samsung Galaxy S III Mini will come with a much smaller 4.0-inch Super AMOLED display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The original Galaxy S III model boasts an incredible 4.8-inch display, which might seem small when put against Samsung’s Galaxy Note II 5.5-inch screen.

Moreover, the Galaxy S III Mini will be equipped with an STE U8420 chip that packs a dual-core processor clocked at 1 GHz.

The phone will also pack 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Unlike the Galaxy S III which is powered by Android 4.0 ICS platform, the Mini version comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box.

On the back, Samsung Galaxy S III Mini features a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there’s a secondary VGA camera for video calls.

The phone offers HSPA (14.4Mbps) and HSUPA (5.76Mbps) support, as well as microUSB, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The Galaxy S III Mini is powered by a 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.

Samsung Galaxy S III Mini will be available in Germany for 400 EUR (515 USD) outright, but the price might be different in other countries.
