The Galaxy Pocket hit shelves back in April with Android 2.3 Gingerbread onboard. Today, UK-based carrier Three confirmed plans to release the smartphone sometime in September.

The smartphone is expected to be available for free on select plans, but the carrier is likely to offer the Galaxy Pocket on no term for under 200 GBP (310 USD or 255 EUR) outright.

The smartphone is powered by an 832 MHz single-core processor, and packs a sub-mediocre 2-megapixel rear camera with video recording.

Samsung Galaxy Pocket also sports a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 240 x 320 pixels resolution and 262k colors. There’s also 3GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.
