The kernel code will enable devs to cook custom ROMs

It looks like Samsung has finally released the source code for the Galaxy Note (GT-N7000), so those in the know will now be able to cook more stable custom ROMs.

The official files and libraries can now be downloaded for free via Samsung Open Source. Word is that the source code had to be released several days ago, but it was delayed for unknown reasons.

There’s even better news as previous Android 4.0 ICS ROMs have been plagued by a speakerphone bug. However, since Samsung released the Galaxy Note source code this has been corrected and custom ROMs are now fully functional.

Those who wish to grab the Galaxy Note source code and find that downloading from Samsung Open Source Release Center is too slow can check out additional mirrors.
