Right on time, the first Samsung Galaxy Grand DUOS units have started to arrive in India. Introduced officially in the country last week, the smartphone was confirmed to hit shelves in India in the first week of February.

Customers in India who have already pre-ordered the smartphone from select retailers across the country will probably receive their handsets within the next few days.

According to Samsung, the first shipments of Galaxy Grand DUOS units have already arrived and the phone is now available for purchase on the company’s official online store for Rs 21,500 outright, which is about $405 or €295. Check it out here.

Samsung is also mentioning that shipping started from February 1 and that the sales package contains free goodies worth of Rs 10,990 ($205/€150).

That includes a Samsung genuine flip cover, 50GB of Dropbox space and movies and music content from MyServices (music is downloadable and movies are streaming).

It is also worth mentioning that customers who decided to purchase the Galaxy Grand DUOS through Vodafone will also receive 2GB of data free per month for 2 months.

Unlike the standard version of Galaxy Grand, DUOS offers dual-SIM connectivity. Aside from that, both models are identical when it comes to hardware and software configuration.

The smartphone is equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Samsung Galaxy Grand DUOS boasts a 5.0-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

It also sports an enhanced 8-megapixel rear photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. There’s also a secondary 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

Software-wise, the device ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and comes preloaded with Google’s full suite of apps and services.
