Samsung has silently confirmed that it will launch the Galaxy Discover entry-level Android phone in the United States via Net10 and Straight Talk.

The smartphone has just been listed on Samsung USA website with both sellers’ branding attached to it. Unfortunately, there are no details on pricing options for now, but we will keep an eye out for this one.

The Galaxy Discover will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system onboard, but as SammyHub points out, it will not integrate Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

Hardware-wise, the smartphone will come equipped with a low-performance 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7225A processor, 2.7GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The device also sports a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution, as well as 3-megapixel rear camera with 3x digital optical zoom and video recording.
