Unveiled back in February 2012, Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 was released on the market three months later with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system out of the box.

Now, one year after its launch, it looks like the Galaxy Ace 2 receives the long-awaited Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update.

According to SamMobile, the official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean ROM is available for download via Samsung Kies desktop software.

However, Galaxy Ace 2 owners will be able to upgrade their devices to Jelly Bean via OTA (over the air) when they are notified of the availability of the update.

Given the fact that the Jelly Bean update is rolled out in waves, it might take a while to reach all Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 devices, so if it’s not available in your country yet, then be patient as it will come soon.
