G810, Samsung's 5 Megapixel flagship slider first announced at the beginning of the year, will be commercially available starting the 14th of April, according to Carphone Warehouse, a leading European mobile retailer. Of course, this release date is not official, and some delays might appear, but it's obvious that the handset will hit the market pretty soon.

Although the price of Samsung G810 is not known yet, we should expect it to be expensive, since it is one of the highest featured phones to hit the market this year.

Measuring 103 x 52.9 x 17.9 millimeters, Samsung G810 comes in a metallic and good-looking case that will surely attract many mobile enthusiasts. The slider runs on Symbian OS 9.2 S60 3rd Edition, being powered by an ARM1136 processor at a 330 MHz speed, and packs a wide range of features. Users will get GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G connectivity, a 2.6 inch TFT display (240 x 320 pixels, 256K colors), and a 5 Megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom, xenon flash, auto focus, face detection, geotagging and video recording (in VGA mode). Furthermore, G810 offers Google maps and Google search, TV out, Multimedia player, Stereo FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, advanced Internet and email capabilities, document viewer, Java MIDP 2.0 and other useful features.

Samsung G810 is one of the few devices that can stand beside Nokia's N95 and the future N96, as it has about the same specs and also a similar form factor.

Besides the G810, Samsung has quite an impressive line-up of high-end mobile phones for 2008, including Soul U900, Soul G400, F490 and Samsung Instinct, which will be among the hottest handsets to hit the US market (via Sprint). All these devices come to consolidate Samsung's second position in the mobile phone industry.
