South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is expected to bring to the market during the ongoing year new handsets that would be powered by its bada operating system, and some more info on two of them reportedly leaked into the wild.

A recent article on bada World (via Samsung Hub) shows that Samsung has in store two bada mobile phones for this year, one of which might arrive on shelves sometime in September, followed by the second one in November.

These handsets leaked from Samsung France, it seems, and they might be the phones destined for this market alone, for it is rather hard to believe that Samsung would release only two bada devices this year.

Last year it came to shelves with half a dozen of them, and they started to appeal to more and more users out there, which would suggest that Samsung might actually bet more on bada this year than before.

Analysts too suggested that the platform might gain a lot of market share among smartphone OSes in the next few years, and that it might even leave popular platforms, such as Windows Phone, behind.

The said two leaked handsets from Samsung France would include the Hero Wave, which might be launched with a 3.65-inch touchscreen display on board, along with support for 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity.

Moreover, the upcoming bada device is expected to pack a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, complemented by a VGA front-facing camera for video calling.

Other specifications of Hero Wave would include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and NFC (Near Field Communication) capabilities.

The second leaked bada smartphone from Samsung France does not have a name as of yet, though it is said to be a mid-range handset, expected on shelves in late 2011.

It should sport a 3.14-inch touchscreen display, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and NFC capabilities, as well as a 3-megapixel photo snapper on the back.
