When it rains, it pours, and when it comes to rumors that pan out, enthusiasts find new reasons to rejoice, as it happens today with the launch of Samsung Fascinate on Verizon Wireless' airwaves.

Big Red was late to the Galaxy S party, that's for sure, but, starting today, the Fascinate, its flavor of the device, is available for purchase for all those interested in getting a pretty amazing device on their hands.

Previous rumors on the phone placed its arrival on September 9th, and they were right, it seems, as the device would land on Verizon stores only tomorrow, following online availability today.

Moreover, another rumor that proved real, beside the $199 price tag the handset comes with, is its inclusion in Verizon's never-ending BOGO promotion.

What this means is that enthusiasts can head over to Verizon's website, buy one Samsung Fascinate, and get another one for free.

Of course, as it always happens with these offers, both devices require service agreements, which means that one would have to activate two lines to enjoy the promotion.

However, getting one Samsung Fascinate handset for free still sounds like a great deal, that's for sure, especially when looking at the capabilities of this device, or at the popularity it enjoys in other markets around the world.

“The Samsung Fascinate, a Galaxy S phone, offers a robust set of entertainment features and represents a high level of mobile intelligence. Featuring a 4.0'' Super AMOLED display that is stunningly bright while also conserving battery life, the Samsung Fascinate offers a powerful 1GHz processor,” Verizon notes.

We should also note that the device runs under the Android 2.1 platform and that it comes with the TouchWiz UI pre-loaded, while offering fast access to a wide range of services and features, including Twitter, MySpace and Facebook, IM and email accounts.

It also sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and LED flash, as well as access to the Android Market, from where users can download a wide range of applications to personalize their mobile experience.

Other features of the mobile phone include: With Wi–Fi capability, 3G Mobile Hotspot, a pinch zoom–enabled Android browser, Skype mobile, VZ Navigator, Visual Voice Mail, Quick Panel, and Notification & Quick Reply, as well as ThinkFree Office for viewing/editing Microsoft Office docs.
