Sprint's subsidiary Boost Mobile has just announced the availability of a new, highly affordable device on its airwaves, the Samsung Factor, which hits the wireless carrier at only $49.99 (excluding taxes).

The new mobile phone is available now on Boost Mobile exclusive retail stores and select independent wireless dealer locations around the United States, and was put on sale via the carrier's online store as well.

Moreover, the wireless carrier announced that the new Samsung Factor from Boost Mobile should arrive in select retail outlets nationwide by the end of April.

“The Samsung Factor is a great addition for our customers who desire simplicity in an increasingly complex wireless space,” said Andre Smith, vice president-Boost Mobile.

“We are happy to launch an affordable device that complements the savings from our monthly unlimited plan.”

The new mobile phone is expected to prove a great option for users on the carrier's Monthly Unlimited with Shrinkage plan, which offers the possibility to pay less provided that you make on-time payments each month.

For those who are not familiar with the option, we should note that the carrier would shrink the customer’s monthly cost by $5 for every six on-time payments.

Thus, in time users would be able to enjoy unlimited nationwide talk, text, Web, e-mail, IM and calls to 411 for only $35 a month.

Some of the main features of the new device include: Bluetooth Camera Wireless Web and e-mail access to Gmail, MSN, Yahoo! and more Instant Messaging capable (Yahoo!, AIM and Windows Live Messenger) Multimedia and text messaging capable Voice mail, caller ID, call waiting and call forwarding

The wireless carrier also announced that its customers can enjoy more value with the extension of the $5 International Connect promotion.

Those who would add the feature to their monthly unlimited plan would receive the reduced rate of just $5 per month. The promotion is available until March 31st, the carrier continued.

“After March 31, this promotional price will be grandfathered for those customers as long as the account is active and the $5 add-on remains on the account,” the company announced.
