From Vodafone

Samsung F700 is quite a classy device and since its release it has become, as expected, a successful high-end mobile phone. Standing aside Apple's iPhone and LG's Prada, the F700 was first announced back in February 2007 but its commercial availability had to wait until November.

In 2008 Vodafone brings a white version of Samsung F700, Samsung F700v Blanco, released only in Spain for now, at the price of 279 Euros (meaning about 410 USD). Although the phone was not entirely covered in white, only its back and its margins being changed, it surely looks elegant and will appeal to many users who prefer white over darker colors.

Measuring 104 x 50 x 16.4 mm and weighing 120 grams, Samsung F700 packs a 2.78 inch, 240 x 440 pixels touchscreen display and a full sliding QWERTY keyboard to come in handy for the users who can't or don't want to get used with touchscreen text input. The phone has a 3 Megapixel camera with flash and video recording and a secondary VGA camera for video calls.

Other nice specifications include GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA (up to 7.2 Mbps), MP3/AAC/AAC+ Player, 100 MB built-in memory and microSD (TransFlash) card support, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, USB, Internet Browser (WAP 2.0 / xHTML, HTML) and so on. The F700 handset can provide almost 5 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of stand-by time, more than enough for most users.

We can't tell if the white version of Samsung F700 will be available in other countries except Spain, but we sure hope so. And maybe the US version of Samsung F700, which is coming at Verizon as Samsung U940 Q-Ball, will get a white case too. If not (and if you really want a "pure" Samsung F700/U940), there's always the paint-it-yourself solution.

Unrecommended though :)
