Samsung F480, also known as Samsung TouchWiz, was released today in India, several months after its European launching (the handset is called Samsung Taco in Europe).

The F480 is one of Samsung's latest high-end devices, offering a wide range of nice features that are packed in a small and elegant case.

First of all, Samsung F480 brings a 2.8 inch touchscreen display with 240 x 320 pixels, 262K colors and haptic feedback, and an intuitive TouchWiz interface, which should allow users to have a cool mobile experience. The F480 further packs a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, image stabilizer, Wide Dynamic Range, face detection, LED flash and video recording so that photography lovers can take high-quality pictures.

The other features offered by the new Samsung include: tri-band GMS connectivity (900 / 1800 / 1900) with GPRS, EDGE and 3G, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Music player (supporting MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR, MIDI, RA and MMF), Video player, FM radio with RDS, HTML browser, email, Instant Messaging, SMS, MMS and video messaging, document viewer, USB 2.0, handsfree, scheduler, clock, alarms, calculator, currency converter and so on. The phone offers 240MB of built-in memory and microSD/microSDHC card support for up to 8GB.

The F480 TouchWiz measures 98.4 x 55 x 11.6 millimeters, weighs a bit more than 100 grams and its battery is a 1,000 mAh Li-ion one that can provide a talk-time of up to eight hours or a stand-by time of up to 250 hours.

Indian mobile users interested in Samsung F480 can find it across the country at a retail price of 20,990 INR (the equivalent of 500 USD or 320 Euros). Of course, this is a pretty high price, but considering all the features included in the new handset, it's probably worth it.
