Samsung and Elissa, the famous Lebanese singer and the company's brand ambassador for the Middle East, have just launched a new music phone in the
United Arab Emirates (UAE). The phone is Samsung F400 and it's one of the company's latest multimedia devices.

Available across Europe since last month, Samsung F400 comes with a dual-sliding design, unveiling an alphanumeric keypad when slid up and a dual stereo speaker when slid down. The UAE gets a special edition of the F400, which includes three of Elissa's most known songs: "Moush Kiteer Aaleik", "Ayami Bik" and "Bastanak".

For a high-quality audio experience, Samsung has packed in the new phone the following: Bang & Olufsen ICEpower technology, Digital Natural Sound engine (DNSe 2.0), Smart Bass, Music player with lots of formats supported, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and a 3.5mm headset jack. The handset also comes with Shazam, an application that allows you to easily find out the name of unknown songs, resembling Sony Ericsson's TrackID feature.

Furthermore, Samsung F400 has a 2.2 inch display with 240 x 320 pixels and 256K colors, GSM and HSDPA connectivity, FM radio with RDS, Web browser, email, SMS and MMS capabilities, USB 2.0 and a 1GB memory card included in the package (this can be replaced with another one of up to 8GB). The new Samsung also features a 3 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash and video recording, hence photography fans will be able to take pictures at a decent quality.

Samsung F400 weighs 105 grams and, when closed, it measures 103 x 48 x 16.9 millimeters. The battery included in the phone is a 960 mAh one that should keep it going for up to 4.5 hours in talk-time mode or up to 620 hours in stand-by mode.

No word yet about the price of Samsung F400 in the UAE, or about where exactly it can be found, but I guess that Samsung's retail stores and distributors from across the country should have the handset.
