Great music player, also a phone

Samsung F210 just entered the Romanian market and now looks to make a big entry by showing off all its best features. The device is all about great looks and has little over this to pride with, but, who knows??it might just end up being highly successful either way.

The music phone looks just like an MP3 player at a first look, which makes it feel like a hybrid device once it opens to reveal some telecom functions. The concept is highly modern and makes the handset's personality really stand out, especially when compared to other similar devices.

At the dimensions of 87.8 x 31 x 20.5 mm, the device has the shape and sizes of a music player, which gives away its true nature. The 1.4 inch screen is smaller than anything that regular evolved mobile phones have gotten used to see. It supports a resolution of 128 x 220 pixels, which should disappoint in circumstances other than that of handling playlists.

What's most important in a music phone, Samsung F210 comes equipped with 1 GB of internal memory and also supports microSD cards for increasing the default data storage space. IT also supports xHTML web browsing, although that should turn out as a pretty disappointing experience on the tiny screen.

The handset will also pack a 2 megapixel camera, capable of taking only average captures and nothing more. Its strongest point is still that of playing songs, with the help of its media player and FM radio. Other than that, the device also includes Bluetooth and USB connectivity, which should be great for listening to music without wires and for transferring songs from the PC to the phone. One disadvantage about it might be that it does not manage to provide 3G, but only GPRS and EDGE, which should bring rather tedious song downloads.

Samsung F210 has been unveiled this summer and will be available from now on in Romania as well.
