Liquid Crystal Displays are becoming sharper, brighter, clearer and more efficient with each passing week as companies improve their technologies and manufacturing processes. Each new LCD is more efficient, more stylish, capable of rendering a higher number of colors and more efficient. As a top-tier manufacturer of high-quality display solutions, Samsung has just announced that it would be expanding its LCD monitor line with two new, 23-inch models from the SyncMaster 70 and SyncMaster 80 series.

The two models announced by the company are the SyncMaster 70-series F2370H and the SyncMaster 80-series F2380MX. Both of these products have TCO 5.0 certification and a very large viewing angle, specifically of 178 degrees. Not only that, but end-users will have a very high number of colors to feast their eyes upon, as the two displays are capable of reproducing 100% of the web-standard sRGB. These similarities are not all that the two displays have in common, however. Both the F2370H and the F2380MX may receive video input via an HDMI port and have integrated 3W speakers.

There are very few noticeable differences between the two models and, indeed, the actual design of the displays is, in the end, the main distinctive feature. The F2380MX from the SyncMaster 80 series comes with a comfortable stand, which can be tilted, so as to allow the monitor height to be adjusted to up to 130mm. On the other hand, the SyncMaster 70-series F2370H is built based on the company's ToC (Touch of Color) design, which has the monitor's slim bezel and stand designed in such a way so as to simulate being made of glass.

The monitors from Samsung are especially noteworthy for their large contrast. Their static contrast ratio is of 3000:1, while the dynamic contrast ratio supported reaches as high as 150,000:1.

The F2370H has a suggested price of 397,000(KRW), or $352, whereas the F2380MX is priced at 417,000(KRW), or $370.
