The U.S. carrier AT&T and Samsung Mobile, have just announced the availability of two featurephones, tagged as quick messaging devices, the Samsung Eternity II and the Samsung Flight II. Both devices should be available this month exclusively from AT&T retail stores.

Samsung Eternity II comes with a 3.0-inch touchscreen, great for watching AT&T Mobile TV, three scrolling home screens and drag-and-drop widgets. The device is stuffed with enhanced social networking with services such as AT&T Social Net, Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.

The featurephone also includes an interesting application called PicDial, that makes the phone's address book socially aware, allowing users to see full screen Facebook and MySpace profile pictures and status messages of contacts on their mobile phone during every call. The Eternity II is also compatible with AT&T Mobile TV service, which requires a $9.99 fee per month.

It seems that the carrier offers customers for a limited time unlimited access to programming from select major networks included for no additional fee. Other features include: Full HTML browser, Smart Gestures, Enhanced GPS functionality, Bluetooth v2.1+ EDR, 2.0-Megapixel camera, expandable memory up to 32GB.
