Mobile phone carrier Sprint is reportedly preparing a price cut for the Samsung Epic 4G Touch this month, as a new high-end Android handset from Samsung is making its way to its network.

Starting with June 21st, Sprint users will be able to acquire the Samsung Epic 4G Touch for only $99.99 (€80) with the signing of a two-year contract agreement, TechnoBuffalo reports.

The news site claims that a trusted source confirmed the company’s plans, though no formal announcement has been made yet.

The price cut for last year’s flagship device will occur the same day that Galaxy S III, the latest high-end Android smartphone from Samsung, officially lands on Sprint’s network.

Although the new smartphone will arrive with support for the wireless carrier’s 4G LTE network, the older device will still remain a viable option for many users.
