Canadian mobile phone users have now yet another messaging handset available for purchase in the country on the airwaves of wireless carrier Bell, namely the Samsung Entro. In addition to making this mobile phone available for purchase, the operator also put on sale another device on its airwaves, the Apple iPhone 3GS 8GB, while getting ready to launch another handset, the Samsung Gravity Touch.

The new Samsung Entro hits the shelves in Canada with a sliding design. According to MobilSyrup, the phone sports a 2.6-inch touchscreen display that boasts a 240 x 320 pixel resolution, a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 1.3-megapixel photo snapper with flash and video recording, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32 GB of additional storage space.

The mobile phone carrier has the new handset available for $29.95 on a 3-year contract; $79.95 on a 2-year contract, $99.95 on a 1-year contract, and $129.95 on prepaid. Free of any commitment, the device would cost $149.95. In addition to Bell's offering, Canadians can also benefit from those put in place at Solo, which has it for $50 on a two-year contract, or for $130.00 free of contract.

Another Samsung handset that should land at Bell in the near future is the Samsung Gravity Touch, which is said to land as a “premium messaging HSPA device.” It seems that Bell would have the phone exclusively available on its airwaves. With a large touchscreen display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, microSD memory card spot with support for up to 16GB cards, and more, the handset is set to prove an appealing device, especially if the wireless carrier would have it priced at $179.95, as rumored.

Until Gravity Touch lands, Bell's customers can purchase another appealing phone from the carrier, namely the Apple iPhone 3GS 8GB. The device has been put on sale with a price tag of $99.95 on a 3-year contract. Additional details on it are available on Bell's website here.
