A simple slider with good looks

Samsung has launched its newest slider, the E740, a mid-level music phone which isn't trying to be neither the slimmest nor the geekiest cellphone of them all (quite a surprise Samsung has pulled on us this time). It doesn't have a spec sheet to be envied by neither of its mobile market candidates but, although Samsung didn't cram in any super high tech technology, it still is a desirable handset being one of the prettiest sliders I've ever seen.

The E740 features a quite satisfying 2 inch 256k colors TFT display (large enough for a slider), with a 176x220 pixels resolution, a 2 megapixel digital camera with video recording capabilities and wireless Bluetooth 2.0 with stereo A2DP profile to provide its future owners with a music experience without the hassling wires.

Its spec sheet continues by mentioning the Java MIDP 2.0 technology (this way, you will always be sure you have access to the latest mobile games available at any given moment), a microSD memory expansion card slot for the ones being always in need for more storage space, an FM radio, a music player with support for MP3, AAC, AAC+ audio files (let's not forget this is a music phone), EDGE and GPRS Class 10 data transfer technologies.

However, the icing on the cake in the case of the E740 is not its spec sheet (as I said in the beginning of this article) but its nice design, with rounded corners and a cherry metallic color that will most probably attract lots of the females wondering around the mobile stores and trying to find a cellphone suitable for their needs.

This is a handset that will fulfill only the basic needs of communication, without even thinking about the more complex part of this business.

There is only one thing you should remember until you head over the nearest cellphone retail store: the E740 deals only with the simple part of communication (the voice calls and the text messaging) but this shouldn't be a problem because it does them in style and looking as good as possible. Metallic cherry good looking to be more exact :).
