Samsung CorbyPRO Arrives in the UK as Genio Slide

Samsung B5310 CorbyPRO is the latest mobile phone from Samsung that arrived on the market in the UK. The handset has just made an appearance on Vodafone UK's lineup, and can be purchased in the country under the name of Genio Slide. Sporting a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and the already known Fashion Jackets, the new Samsung Genio Slide seems set to prove itself as one of the nicest options for those users on a budget who are fond of texting.

In case the full QWERTY keyboard is not enough for some, they should also learn that the handset comes with a 2.8-inch resistive touchscreen display that boasts a 240 x 320 pixel (QVGA) resolution, and that it also includes a 3-megapixel photo snapper with video recording, 150 MB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot that provides support for up to 16GB of additional storage space, microUSB connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP capabilities, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The specifications list of this phone also shows an Accelerometer sensor, GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz ), GPRS, EDGE and HSDPA (900 / 2100 MHz) 7.2 Mbps connectivity, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) capabilities, FM radio with RDS, built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS support, and a Li-Ion 960 mAh battery that can deliver up to 8 hours of talk time or up to 560 hours of standby time.

The aforementioned Fashion Jackets the Samsung Genio Slide comes to the market with are other appealing features of the handset, offering users the possibility to customize their device the way they consider it best fit. As for the price, Vodafone UK has it for free with 24-month plans that start at £15 per month, as well as with 18-month plans that start at £20 per month. Moreover, the handset can also be snagged for free on a £25 per month contract for a 12 month period.
