Another highly appealing mobile phone on its way to Verizon Wireless has got its full specifications leaked into the wild, following a series of leaks and rumors on the DROID 2 Global, namely Samsung Continuum, a Galaxy S phone.

This device surfaced for the first time quite a while ago, but rumors on its arrive started to emerge more often lately, pointing towards November 11th as its most likely launch day.

Along with the said rumors, the full list of hardware specifications for this device made it to the web recently, courtesy of a series of leaked documents that emerged at Droid-Life.

Just as expected, the handset should land on the market with a 1GHz Hummingbird application processor inside, the same as the rest of Samsung's Galaxy S devices.

At the same time, the phone would pack 384MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM, complemented by 2GB of on-board flash memory and a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space (an 8GB card included in the package from the start).

In addition to the main touchscreen display, which was said to measure 3.6 inches, the handset should also include a smaller, secondary screen, 1.8 inches large, boasting a 96 x 480 pixels resolution.

On this screen, users would get status update, RSS feed and weather reports, even when the phone is asleep, it seems, through gripping the bottom of the device.

The specifications list for Samsung Continuum also includes a 5-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash and 720p video recording.

On the connectivity side, users would enjoy Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G and Bluetooth capabilities, as well as 3G mobile hotspot functionality, with support for up to five additional Wi-Fi-enabled devices.

Interestingly enough, the Continuum is reportedly running Android 2.1 and uses Bing for search.

With Android 2.2 Froyo already here for several months, it comes as a surprise that Samsung did not pre-loaded this OS version on Continuum, but it might not be too long before it makes an update available.
