Recently, mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless released a new Android-based smartphone on its airwaves, namely the Samsung Continuum, a dual-screen handsets that just received a price cut at Wirefly.

While Verizon Wireless lists the device on its website as available with a price tag of $199.99 attached to it upon the signing of a two year contract agreement, Wirefly lists it for just $79.99 on contract.

Moreover, those users interested in the purchase of this Android handset via Wirefly will benefit from instant discount, as the retailer also removed the $100.00 mail-in rebate Verizon put in place.

The Samsung Continuum, a Galaxy S phone, comes to shelves with a dual - display screen, design, which enables it to offer more usage time, while providing the same features and capabilities as any other Android-based device.

Beneath the main brilliant 3.4-inch Super AMOLED screen, the Samsung Continuum, sports an exclusive 1.8” Ticker display, on which users can view various info, updates, messages or the like.

“With the Continuum, your life continues uninterrupted on the main ultra brilliant 3.4” Super AMOLED screen, while unobtrusive updates are delivered on the Ticker display as they happen,” Verizon notes on its website.

“Get even more info, access and apps with the Continuums web browser and Android Marketplace. Include corporate and personal email support, social networking and calendar integration, and the world is at your fingertips.”

The specifications list of the new device also includes a 5.0-megapixel photo snapper with auto-focus, led flash and 720p HD video recording capabilities, 1GHz application processor, 2GB internal memory, support for 3G networks, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options.

Moreover, the handset comes with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, 3G Mobile Hotspot capabilities, Skype Mobile, access to YouTube, Twitter, MySpace and Facebook, and more.
