Samsung Continuum, a Galaxy S phone, is set to make an appearance on Verizon's airwaves soon. In case there are some doubting this, they should have a look at this page on the carrier's website, where the yet unannounced smartphone is listed next to the Samsung Fascinate and Galaxy Tab.

Amid yet unverified rumors on the phone's arrival at Big Red on November 11th, confirmation that it is indeed on its way to the wireless carrier arose, even if no specific release date for it is yet officially confirmed.

However, since all the previous rumors on Continuum pointed towards an official launch for the next week, we wouldn't be surprised if things proved real soon.

Not to mention that Samsung announced a press event for November 8th, and even slipped word that this conference is aimed at the release of Samsung Continuum (Samsung unveiled this to put an end to rumors on a possible appearance of a Nexus Two smartphone from it).

What makes things really exciting when it comes to the new Galaxy S device on its way to Big Red is that it should sport two touchscreen displays, both on the front.

Beneath the main display, the phone should include a smaller screen, 1.8-inch, aimed at showing updates on messages, weather, news and the like, all without having to light up the large screen.

Since Samsung confirmed that it would announce the Continuum on November 8th, on Monday, that is, there are great chances that the handset would become available for purchase on Novemebr 11th, just as previous rumors pointed at.

Of course, it still remains to be seen whether this would indeed pan out or not, but the bottom line is that Continuum will be available for Verizon Wireless users in time for the holiday season.

As stated above, those interested in seeing the Samsung Continuum on Verizon's website should head over to the carrier's Holiday Gift Ideas page here.
