Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has been long rumored to be on its way to release next week a nice range of new Android-based smartphones, including a Samsung Continuum or a Motorola Citrus, and some more info on the matter started to emerge.

It appears that the first Samsung Continuum devices are currently arriving in stores at Verizon, following the arrival of dummy units not too long ago.

Of course, nothing is yet official on the handset's arrival at Verizon, but we should see it being announced officially no later than Monday, November 8th, during a press-event Samsung should hold for this.

The guys over at AndroidLife came up with a series of photos proving that the phone is arriving in stores, and you can take a look at one of them to the left (above).

In related news, we learn that a comparison chart for Motorola Citrus has just made an appearance into the wild, displaying another unannounced smartphone for Verizon, the LG Vortex.

The Android-based handset from Motorola was already announced officially as being on its way to Verizon Wireless in the near future, but nothing was unveiled on the LG Vortex (supposedly the Optimus One).

Even so, we should mention that both smartphones were rumored not too long ago to be on their way to land at Verizon next week, most probably on November 11th.

The two devices should arrive with somehow similar specs, support for VZ Navigator, or microSD card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

V-Cast video, support for email and messaging features, and support for YouTube, are other features the two have in common.

More info on the matter, as well as on how the new Android smartphones at Verizon stack up against rival solutions, can be found in the said comparison chart, attached to the left (via Android Central).

As stated above, Verizon did not unveil specific details on when the new phone will arrive on its shelves, but it should not be too long before it makes the move, so keep an eye on this space for additional info.
