We reported earlier this month on the upcoming release of the long-awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade for Samsung Galaxy S II and it appears that we now have a timeframe for the launch of the update.

Samsung published less than two weeks ago details on Jelly Bean for Galaxy S II and confirmed that it would arrive in South Korea at three carriers.

Today, CNET was able to confirm with a Samsung spokesperson that the company would begin the rollout of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade for Galaxy S II in February. According to the cited source, the update will be initially pushed in Singapore and South Korea.

It will be available for download only via Samsung Kies desktop software and it will take up 1GB of the 12GB of storage available. Stay tuned for more info on the matter.
