HP and Acer have already launched Chrome laptops in the country

Chromebooks are making a lot of headlines these days, with companies like ASUS and Toshiba announcing they will be taking up the manufacturing of such devices.

Acer and HP have already brought some Chromebook offerings to India and now it’s time for Samsung to do the same.

Google announced in an official blog post, that the Samsung Chromebook has been made available in the country for the price of Rs. 26,990 / $438 / €320. Interested customers can get their laptop online from Flipkart, Cromaretail.com, but also from brick and mortar locations like Reliance Digital Croma.

The latter two stores sell the entire range of Chromebooks available in the country, so if you want to make a comparison, you might consider taking a trip out there.

The Samsung Chromebook features an 11.6-inch display with 1366 x 768 pixels and pumps power via a 1.7GHz Exynos 5 dual processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. Other functionalities include 16GB of SSD, a 0.3MP webcam, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, HDMI out, Bluetooth and SD card slot.

And like with all the Chromebooks, customers acquiring the Samsung model will be giving 100GB of Free Google Drive storage for two years.
